The founder and CEO of Twitter, Jack dorsey, will donate $ 1 billion in shares of his other company, the digital payments company Square, to participate in the fight against the pandemic of coronavirus, as announced this Tuesday.

In a message posted on the social network, Dorsey explained that that amount represents the 28% of his fortune.
“Why now? The needs are becoming more urgent and I want to see the impact in my life,” he said. “I hope this inspires others to do something similar. Life is too short, so we have to do everything we can to help people now.”
