Twitter has just announced the implementation of its response blocking system, which allows users to control the privacy of their tweets.
After long rounds of testing, Twitter has finally announced the rollout of its new feature, which gives social network users the choice of who can respond to their tweets.
The American company lifted the veil on this new feature, via a tweet, with an image that explains how to choose the people who have the possibility to react.
For now only available on its mobile application, Twitter offers three options regarding the response to tweets. The user can choose between “Everybody”, “The people you follow” or “Only the people mentioned in the tweet”. Anyone who wishes to reply to a protected tweet will see a message appear which warns them that they do not have the right to reply.
Known for its lack of content moderation, Twitter seeks through this new option to offer a more secure social network in terms of confidentiality.
