Under the delivery contract, municipalities are obliged to deliver their residual waste and vegetable, fruit and garden waste to the Twente waste processor. That was already the case, but the existing agreement expired and a new contract should be in place as of 1 July 2022. There was reason for Almelo, Oldenzaal, Rijssen-Holten and Twenterand to vote against it, because they no longer want to be tied to Twence.
