TV 2 strengthens TV2.no with 30 new positions

On Wednesday, TV 2’s editor-in-chief Olav T. Sandnes and head of TV2.no Derek Bjølgerud presented a new initiative for the coming years. TV 2 strengthens TV2.no with as many as 30 new positions, and is therefore looking for skilled journalists and digital heads.

– TV2.no will continue to be among the country’s largest and most important news services and therefore we strongly strengthen our investment, says editor-in-chief of TV 2 Olav T. Sandnes.

TV 2 is a large universe consisting of live TV, the streaming service TV 2 Play, and TV2.no as a news-driven website in all content categories; news, sports, programs and Norwegian productions.

– We already have many with strong digital competence in TV 2, but we need more for us to deliver on the high ambitions we have for TV2.no. Therefore, we strengthen the team and announce 30 new positions this time. We want to bring with us those with high digital competence, journalistic flair, a burning commitment to content and dissemination and not least a small dose of madness, says head of TV2.no, Derek Bjølgerud.

Initially, TV 2 is announcing 30 new positions that will work with breaking news, live broadcasts, the video desk, social media, as well as entertainment and celebrity news.

– In TV 2, the opportunities are great and the challenges are many, and you get to work with some of the nicest and nicest people in media Norway. Up to three million Norwegians over the age of 18 used one or more of TV 2’s services daily in 2021, so this is a unique opportunity to work in a media house with enormous impact. In addition, you get to help build TV2.no into an even more powerful news service, and become part of TV 2’s digital spearhead. So here you just have to throw yourself around and apply, Bjølgerud encourages.

TV 2 will strengthen the desk and also establish a completely new breaking desk, and is therefore looking for Norway’s best specialists in “breaking news”. The positions will be announced shortly, and one of the first positions to be announced is TV 2’s new breaking boss.
