Turkish President Erdogan Celebrates Success and Looks to the Future After Election Win

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed, on Tuesday, that his country had experienced a real electoral celebration, in a speech to the country, days after he won a new term as president.

Erdogan said that the voters demanded continued growth and stability in Turkey, and that is why the popular will prevailed in the elections.

And he stated in his speech: “Today we have to talk about what is new, and not get attached to the past. This period is very important in our country, and the parties must understand that it is the ballot box that determines democracy in the country.”

The Turkish president indicated that the Turkish opposition is “weak”, and it must organize its ranks and plans to enter the next democratic stage.

He stressed that his government is continuing its efforts to restore what was destroyed by the deadly earthquakes this year, as he promised to reduce inflation and protect citizens from high prices.

Erdogan stressed that his continuation in power will mean contributing to spreading stability in his country and in the region.
