The president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), of the Nicolás Maduro regime, Pedro Calzadilla, met this Friday with the ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Şevki Mütevellioğlu, with the aim of continuing to strengthen relations between that country and the Electoral Power .
According to the report, during the meeting held at the headquarters of the electoral body, Calzadilla and the Turkish ambassador talked, among other aspects, about the interest of the Turkish nation in accompanying the upcoming electoral process.
At the same meeting, the Turkish Ambassador expressed his country’s commitment to send a delegation to accompany the next regional and municipal elections to be held on November 21.
Regarding the electoral process that will take place in November, the European Union is studying the possibility of sending a technical diplomatic mission to Venezuela to promote that the regional elections on November 21 meet minimum democratic conditions.
The opposition parties and members of the unitary platform have expressed that only with certain minimum conditions they will participate in the regional elections this year, one of those conditions is international observation and considers that of the European community as one of the most important.
