The measure was announced by the governor of the Sakayara region: “Up to now 65 sanctions have been enacted”

For those caught breaking the quarantine, the government of Ankara has ordered forced hospitalization in special facilities for a period of fifteen days.

“So far we have already sanctioned 65 people,” said the governor, “and we intend to continue with strict measures.” In all 81 Turkish provinces, checks have increased due to the new surge in Coronavirus infections (more than 1,500 cases on 10 September). Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said Turkey is at the “second peak of the first wave”.

As for the return to class, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that it will be carried out gradually, starting from kindergarten and elementary school, while the implementation of the measures will be adapted to each city or province, according to the evolution of the epidemic.
