The kicker podcast “FE:male view on football” is entering its second season with a new presenter. Former national player Turid Knaak (31) will be co-host alongside Anna-Sara Lange. To get started, the duo will lead you through an EM special next Wednesday.

Turid Knaak succeeds Valeska Homburg on “FE:male view on football”, who took over as head of the Media & PR department at Bayer 04 Leverkusen on July 1, 2022. Anna-Sara Lange will continue to moderate the podcast at Knaak’s side.
In the podcast, the new co-moderator can draw on a wealth of experience from 15 years of being a professional. Born in Essen, she began her career at FCR 2001 Duisburg, with whom she won the DFB Cup twice and in 2009 the UEFA Women’s Cup, the predecessor of the Champions League. In the Bundesliga she also played for Bayer 04 Leverkusen and SGS Essen, in England for Arsenal FC and in Spain for Atletico Madrid.
EM special with two episodes
Last summer, the 16-time German national player switched to VfL Wolfsburg, with whom she won the league and cup double in her last active season. “After this perfect conclusion to my active career, I’m now looking forward to the exciting task at ‘FE:male view on football’,” says Turid Knaak. “In my career, I’ve experienced many great moments, but I’ve also often had to learn that the issue of women in football doesn’t get the attention it deserves. Together we want to focus on the female side of football and the necessary discourse advance.”
Turid Knaak will make her debut on “FE:male view on football” next Wednesday. On the occasion of the European Women’s Championship, which starts on this day, the podcast will publish an EM special both before and after the preliminary round. As usual, the episodes can be accessed on all digital kicker channels and all common podcast platforms.

FE: male #Special – Lise Klaveness
After her speech at the FIFA Congress in Qatar she was compared to Martin Luther King: Lise Klaveness, President of the Norwegian Football Association. In an interview, she tells us how her speech came about, where she got the courage for her performance and what the reactions were afterwards. The mother of three once again underlines her demands for transparent awarding of the games, fair conditions for workers and compliance with ethical and moral standards. The former national player and judge also provides information about her relationship with Gianni Infantino and her exchange with DFB President Bernd Neuendorf. As a member of the LGBTQ community, she also explains how she ensured her personal safety before traveling to Qatar and what needs to be done to further empower women in football.
