Press reports revealed the release of Tunisian international back Hamdi El-Naqaz, the former Zamalek player, after a prison sentence was issued during the last period.
Radio “ifm” and “Digital Tunisia” reported on the Internet today, Friday, that Hamdi Al-Naqaz was released a few days after he reached an amicable solution with the security man, who was at odds with him.
Anis Bin Meem, Al-Naqqaz’s lawyer, said in press statements: “The Sousse Court of First Instance decided today to postpone the execution of the Hamdi Al-Naqaz case, and consequently the player was released.”
Al-Naqaz has been in prison since April 30, after the court sentenced him to four months in prison and he was fined a sum of money, before dismissing the lawsuit.
The police had arrested Al-Naqaz since 22 April because of driving his car without a license during the night curfew and attacking a policeman.
The last period witnessed a crisis between Al-Naqaz and Zamalek due to his failure to receive his dues, which necessitated the player’s departure and filing a complaint against the White Castle in the International Football Association.
And “FIFA”, in turn, issued a penalty against the Zamalek club with a fine of one million and 250 thousand dollars, with the club threatening that it would be threatened with denial of new deals if the fine was not paid.
It is noteworthy that Hamdi Al-Naqaz, 27, moved to the ranks of Zamalek in January 2018, coming from the Tunisian coastal star, before he left last November and moved to Sudova club, the Lithuanian champion.
