Tunisian Education Minister Pledges Swift Action to Address School Issues as New Year Begins
Tunis, Tunisia – September 15, 2025 – Tunisia’s Minister of Education has assured teh public that the ministry will rapidly address any problems that arise during the new school year, which commenced today with 2,325,443 students returning to public primary, middle, and secondary schools nationwide. The pledge comes as the country prioritizes a safe and supportive learning environment for its students and families.
The commitment to immediate intervention underscores the government’s focus on ensuring a smooth academic year for Tunisian families, especially as they navigate ongoing economic pressures. The Ministry has proactively distributed school supplies to alleviate the financial burden on households. Concurrently, a collaborative security plan developed with the ministry of the Interior is now in effect, providing enhanced supervision and continuous monitoring of school environments.
