Jūrmala’s “Spartaks” Latvian football super league game on Tuesday at Sloka Stadium unexpectedly played in front of its spectators in a draw with the league’s last team “Tukums 2000 / TSS”, according to the organizers.
The game was surprised by 34 minutes into the match. In addition, they were the first goalkeepers away since the team played in the Premier League.
Of course, such a result did not satisfy the multiple Latvian champions in any way, but the Jūrmans managed to equalize the result only at the beginning of the second half, when the goal was scored at the expense of Newton Obry Williams Richard. “Spartaks” continued offensive, but it did not succeed, and at the end of the game, the seafarers relaxed, allowing the people of Tukums to take the initiative.
Until now, Tukums had not been able to score a single point in the Premier League table, but they scored the first point in this game. Meanwhile, Spartak had so far celebrated two victories, suffered two losses and played one draw. In the tournament table, “Spartak” ranks fourth with eight points.
“Tukums 2000 / TSS” fell on Tuesday at the mercy of the Disciplinary Committee of the Latvian Football Federation (LFF), because in the previous game against “Metta” footballers did not provide the necessary space per spectator. Namely, the game was watched in person by 403 spectators, and the distance of two meters was not observed. The Disciplinary Committee unanimously decided to warn Tukums 2000 / TSS not to provide the necessary space per spectator. The club has also been warned about the unsafe condition of the entrance to the stadium territory.
It has already been reported that the Latvian Football Super League had to start on March 13, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, its start was postponed to mid-June. Ten teams will start in the Premier League this year, which will be a three-lap tournament.
