The production of cars at the Hyundai car plant in Nošovice increased year-on-year last year, and the plant expects production to grow this year as well. That’s why he wants to hire new employees. They will receive a recruitment allowance of 20 thousand crowns.

The Nošovice carmaker Hyundai produced 275,000 cars last year. It was 36,250 cars, ie 15 percent, more than the year before. He expects further production growth this year, said Petr Michník, spokesman for Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech (HMMC).

“For this year, it is planned to increase the volume of production to the level usual before the covidu-19 pandemic,” said Michník. In the last year before the pandemic, which fundamentally affected the automotive industry worldwide, the Nošovice plant produced 309,500 cars.

In order for the company to be able to produce more cars, it will hire new employees. “Therefore, HMMC has already started recruitment and will recruit 120 new employees into production within a few months. In addition, a recruitment allowance of 20,000 crowns is prepared for workers’ positions,” the spokesman said. The plant has over 3100 employees, another about 8700 people work for its direct suppliers.

The innovated sharp Hyundai i30 N, which began to roll off the lines last year, accounted for two percent of production,” said Michník. The remaining eight percent of cars produced were used by Kona Electric.

“Over 30 percent of cars produced last year have hybrid, plug-in hybrid or fully electric drive. This year, the carmaker expects the share of such cars to grow again,” said Michník. The company does not plan to launch any new model this year, but new projects are planned for production in 2023.

“In line with carbon neutrality plans, we are becoming the company’s first production plant to use exclusively renewable electricity this year. We are preparing large investments in photovoltaics and other energy-saving technologies,” said HMMC President Cheolseung Baek.

Most cars from Nošovice traveled to Germany, Spain, France and Great Britain. “The Tucson model is also heading to countries in the Middle East on a large scale.
