Tuchel apologizes to Gallagher for not being able to play against Chelsea

London

Thomas Tuchel apologize to Conor Gallagher who couldn’t make it to the semifinals FA Cup. This happened due to the loan clause from Chelsea.

Chelsea vs Crystal Palace will be presented at Wembley in the FA Cup semifinal match, Sunday (17/4/2022) night WIB. In this match, Palace could not lose their mainstay midfielder, Conor Gallagher.

Gallager is a mainstay of The Eagle in midfield by being able to carve eight goals and five assists in all competitions this season. The 22-year-old cannot appear due to his loan clause from Chelsea.

Gallagher, who was loaned by Palace from Chelsea, is not allowed to play when dealing with the club that owns it. Palace have applied for dispensation to Chelsea so Gallagher can play in this match, but the request was rejected by the Blues.

Palace Manager, Patrick Vieira, and Gallagher was so disappointed with Chelsea’s attitude. He said this was detrimental to Gallagher’s development because he had to miss a big game like the FA Cup semi-final.

“It’s a lost experience for a player and I’m disappointed for him. He’s played all the games so far and if anyone deserves to be in the semi-finals, it’s him because of his performances, so I’m disappointed he couldn’t play,” said Vieira, quoted by the Mirror.

Chelsea Manager, Thomas Tuchel, apologized to Gallagher for the disappointment he had to endure. The reason is, he knows very well Gallagher deserves to appear in the semifinals because of his great potential.

However, this man from Germany emphasized that all parties must still understand the rules. This is because the clause against playing against Chelsea has been in effect since the beginning of the loan from the English midfielder.

“I’m sorry because I know how competitive he is. I like him a lot, I know his character very well. It’s great to have him here in pre-season and that’s how it is,” Tuchel was quoted as saying by ESPN.

“We play to win games and the rules are clear when we loan players. I can totally understand Patrick Vieira and also Conor’s disappointment of course, but these are the rules when we loan players out and we don’t want to be in trouble because of our rules.”
