The tsunami started hitting three areas in Japan after a 7.1 magnitude earthquake hit the country.

According to local Japanese media reports, NHK News, tsunami waves began to reach the coasts of Miyazaki, Kochi and Kagoshiwa Provinces.

A 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck Kochi local time, Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan, Thursday (8/8).

Japan’s Meteorological and Geophysical Agency issued an immediate tsunami warning after the M 7.1 magnitude earthquake, reported from Kyodo News.

So far there is no information about damage or casualties.
