Tsitsipas, too focused on his match, does not understand that he beat Benoit Paire

Stefanos Tsitsipas a battu Benoit Pair to 3rd round of the Australian Open in four sets (6-3, 7-5, 6-7, 6-4). A match where the Greek had to raise his level of play and concentration. So much so that Tsitsipas was so focused that he didn’t understand right away that he had won the game.

Indeed, at 5-4 in the 4th set, Stefanos leads 0-40 on the Frenchman’s serve before the latter commits an unforced error. Thinking that the match was not over, Tsitsipas left to get back on his line before realizing that this match point was the right one and that he had just qualified for the 1/8th finals.

In the next round, the Greek player will face the American Taylor Fritz who came out August Baptist.
