TSG ranked third in the women’s soccer Bundesliga after a derby win in Freiburg

With the victory in the Baden derby, the footballers of TSG Hoffenheim have taken third place in the women’s Bundesliga. At SC Freiburg, TSG won 5-1 (3-0) and are tied with 19 points in front of Turbine Potsdam in the new third Champions League place.

Promoted SV Meppen celebrated their maiden win on the penultimate matchday of the first half of the season with a 2-1 (2-0) win at SC Sand. Two games scheduled for Sunday, front runner Bayern Munich against Bayer Leverkusen and Potsdam against Werder Bremen, were canceled after corona cases in Leverkusen and Bremen.

On Saturday, SGS Essen managed a 6-1 (3-0) win in the Ruhrpott duel against the new bottom group MSV Duisburg, on Friday evening double winner VfL Wolfsburg had the matchday with a 3-0 (1-0) against Eintracht Frankfurt opens.
