Trump’s Senate Impeachment Will Happen After He Leaves the White House | Univision News Elections in the US 2020

➡️ The House of Representatives voted Wednesday in favor of a second impeachment against Trump for “incitement to insurrection” after the assault on Congress that he instigated in an event in front of the White House. The outgoing president became the first in history to go to impeachment twice.

➡️The Republican Majority Leader in the Senate, Mitch McConnell, said the Upper House will not carry out the impeachment against Trump before Biden is sworn in. The Republican leader did not rule out supporting him.

➡️Biden asked the Senate not to neglect his cabinet confirmations and other legislative priorities as they prepare to consider impeachment against Donald Trump.

➡️Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Tom Hanks and other famous artists will participate in Biden’s inauguration ceremony. Gaga will sing the national anthem.

➡️ In a video posted shortly after the vote, Trump condemned the violence but did not mention the ‘impeachment’ nor did he assume any responsibility for the assault on the Capitol that has put him facing a second impeachment trial before the Senate.
