Trump’s chief of staff says they will not control the pandemic after the new outbreak in the US | Univision Salud News

The border state of Chihuahua this Friday became the first entity in Mexico to go back to the ‘red light’, as the authorities of that country catalog the most critical period of the pandemic.

The measure is taken due to a rebound in infections in recent days. Until Thursday night there was more than 21,000 accumulated cases from the start of the contingency and 1,731 deaths due to complications related to covid-19, reported the government of Chihuahua.

To try to flatten the infection curve, the governor of that state ordered to suspend activities considered non-essential, such as aesthetics, churches, casinos, museums, theaters, cultural centers, cinemas, gyms, spas, mass events, parks and squares.

In addition, hotels will reduce the number of occupied rooms by up to 15%, while government offices will operate with only 30% of their staff.

Hospitals, dental offices, supermarkets, stationery stores, as well as companies linked to the agriculture, food, basic services, public works, construction industries, among others, will continue to operate normally.

The governor of Chihuahua, Javier Corral Jurado, said in your Twitter account that it is “an extraordinary measure for a critical moment” and he warned that “we can only stop Covid-19 with solidarity and exemplary sanctions.”
