Big geography error for the American president …

The US president congratulated the State of Kansas on Sunday for the victory of the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl, the final of the NFL football league, when the city is actually located in Missouri.
The head of state’s official account quickly corrected the message and replaced Kansas with Missouri, but many Internet users and several American media had had time to take a screenshot of the original tweet.
Deux Kansas City
Technically, Kansas City was founded at the junction of the Kansas and Missouri rivers.
The border between the two states is located in the middle of the same agglomeration, with administratively a Kansas City in Kansas and another in Missouri. The economic development of the part located in the latter having been more important, this city took the upper hand over its neighbor.
It did not take more for social networks to laugh at this error.
“A lot of people talk about the fact that Kansas City is in two states, but it is only Donald Trump who does something there”, quipped New York Magazine columnist Josh Barro on Twitter.
The US president traveled to Kansas City, Missouri in December 2018 to address a conference of Project Safe Neighborhoods, a US Department of Justice program to address violence and crime.
“Someone quickly take the Sharpie (felt) out of Trump’s hands before he redraws the Kansas map”Writer and TV producer Bryan Behar joked, also on Twitter. It was a reference to Hurricane Dorian, which Donald Trump had announced in early September that would most likely sweep Alabama. The forecast was denied soon after by the National Meteorological Service, but the president had gone so far as to produce a map on which Alabama had been roughly included in the felt in the possible path of the hurricane.
Dorian never touched Alabama and never even entered the interior of America.
