Trump wishes Biden well after fall while playing with dog | Abroad

The winner of the US presidential election has had himself investigated as a precaution by an orthopedist. Trump responded to a video showing Biden getting into a car after his treatment. “Get well soon!”, Trump said on Twitter.

Bidens doctor reports that the president-to-be has not suffered a fracture. A CT scan showed hairline cracks in the mid-foot area. Biden will therefore probably have to walk with a foot brace for several weeks.

The accident happened at the Biden family’s vacation home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, where the Bidens spent Thanksgiving weekend.

When sworn in in January, Biden, 78, will be the oldest president to start his term.

Joe Biden and his wife Jill are known as dog lovers. They take their shepherds Champ and Major and a cat to the White House. President Trump did not bring pets.
