In just a few months, Donald Trump wants to launch his own social media platform and attract millions of users.

Former President Donald Trump will set up his own social media platform and be back online in two to three months, his advisor and spokesman Jason Miller said in a new interview.

For years, Trump preferred Twitter and had nearly 90 million followers before the social media platform suspended him in January. Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, Snapchat, and others also moved to suspend the former president – and at the same time, Trump hasn’t indicated that he would use other social media sites favored by conservatives like Gab, MeWe, or Parler .

Miller said Fox News on Sunday, he expects Trump to return “in two or three months to social media” with “his own platform” that will “completely redefine the game” and attract “tens of millions” of users.

Miller, who is Trump’s most prominent press officer, didn’t comment on any details or a possible name for the social media project.

Since Twitter banned his account, the former president has opted instead to post press releases through advisors and emails. For the most part, he has released statements in support of his preferred political candidates for the 2022 midterm election.

Also in the interview, Miller said that Trump still wields a significant amount of influence in the Republican Party.

“He has already called over 20 senators, over 50 members of Congress … or made the pilgrimage to Mar-a-Lago,” he said. “Look out for Georgia on Monday,” comes a “great affirmation.”

In an interview last month, Trump said that he is “negotiating with a number of people, and there is the other option, your own [Social Media]-Build the site. ”He added,“ Because we have more people than anyone. I mean, you can literally build your own site. “

“I really wanted to be a little quiet. They really wanted me on Parler, you know, they had a fake report that the man who was in there wasn’t – I mean the exact opposite, they really wanted me on Parler, “Trump continued.

The former commander in chief speculated that Parler would not be able to handle the amount of traffic it would bring to the site. “Mechanically, they can’t cope with the number of users,” commented Trump in the interview.

The former president gave a lengthy interview last week in which he said he is not sure if he will run for president again in 2024.

“The first thing we have to do is see what we can do with the house,” said Trump. “I think we have a very good chance of retaking the House of Representatives. We were about to lose 15-25 seats last time [bis] I got involved. I worked very hard. “
