Trump will leave the White House if Biden wins the Electoral College vote. Page all

KOMPAS.com – President United States of America (AS) Donald Trump said that he would leave White House if the Electoral College confirms victory Joe Biden.

This statement became Trump’s statement that was close to admitting a deep defeat the US presidential election 2020.

The reason is that so far, Trump has continued to claim victory and repeatedly accused the existence of widespread election fraud, which has never been proven.

Quoted from Channel News Asia, Friday (27/11/2020), Trump’s latest statement was delivered to reporters during the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday (26/11/2020) local time.

Trump said that if Biden, who will be sworn in on January 20, 2021, has been certified as the winner of the presidential election by the Electoral College, he will leave the White House.

However, Trump said it would be difficult for him to admit defeat in the current situation.

Trump also declined to answer when asked if he would attend Biden’s inauguration later.

“This election is fraud,” insisted Trump, while continuing to accuse the presidential election of fraud without providing concrete evidence.

306 Electoral College votes

Biden was projected to win the 2020 US presidential election with 306 votes at the Electoral College, far more than the 270 needed, compared to 232 votes for Trump.

In addition, Biden also leads Trump with more than 6 million in popular vote counts.

Trump has so far refused to fully admit defeat, with increasing pressure from his own Republican ranks.

Asked if he would leave the White House if the Electoral College voted for Biden, here’s Trump’s answer.

“Of course I will. Of course I will. And you know that,” Trump said.

“But I think there will be a lot of things going on between now and January 20. A lot of things,” he added.

Reporting from DWTrump has yet to confirm whether he will attend Biden’s inauguration on January 20, 2021, saying he knows the answer but does not want to share it yet.

As noted above, Biden is projected to receive 306 votes at the Electoral College at the hearing on December 14 and Trump is expected to get 232 votes.

A candidate must get at least 270 votes to become president. Meanwhile the vote will be confirmed by the US Congress in January 2021.

Trump and Biden celebrate Thanksgiving with a small family

Meanwhile, the corona virus pandemic forced both Trump and Biden to celebrate Thanksgiving in a different way than they used to.

Biden enjoys a Thanksgiving moment in the small town of Rehoboth, Delaware, where he and his wife Jill choose to vacation at home.

Their family usually holds large gatherings on the island of Nantucket, Massachusetts. But due to the pandemic, Biden and Jill spend time in Delaware with their family.

“I know this is not the way many of us expect to spend a vacation. We know that the act of staying at home is a gift to fellow Americans,” Biden said in a message on Twitter.

Trump usually spends vacations at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. But he chose to spend half his day at the Trump National Golf Club in Virginia, playing golf.

Last Thanksgiving, Trump made an unannounced visit to US troops in Afghanistan, where he served the soldiers turkey before sitting down to dinner with them.
