Criticism of campaign appearances

Critics, however, accuse Trump of repeatedly giving false or misleading statements at press conferences and misusing the dates as a substitute for campaign events. Not only does the President always praise his own work; he also regularly attacks political opponents and journalists present.
Trump continued his attacks on media online on Monday. “Fake news, the enemy of the people,” wrote the president in the short message service Twitter. There has never been such a “mean and hostile” press in US history as it is now. Trump has been attacking media that has been critical of him since he took office three and a half years ago.
