PROVO, UT – A memorial service for turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk drew a large crowd to a stadium setting, with attendees including former President Donald Trump and numerous other prominent Republican figures. Following Kirk’s fatal shooting on September 10th at Utah valley University, tributes have flooded social media, with many praising the resilience and grace displayed by his wife, Erika Kirk, during the service.
The event sparked an outpouring of reaction on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene posted, “OW!!!!! She is the leader we need and her entire speech was truly amazing!! God bless.”

Turning Point USA contributor Alex Clark lauded Erika Kirk’s composure, sharing a video of her and writing, ”Astonishing poise and control. not to mention this woman just forgave her husband’s assassin in front of the entire world. For those who can’t wrap their minds around it … that’s what Christ did for you.” Clark also highlighted the logistical feat of organizing the event,noting,”From an event planning standpoint this should have taken at least 6 months. Internet personality Kaizen Asiedu described Erika Kirk’s speech as “one of the most meaningful, healing speeches in American history,” adding, “Everyone needs to watch it. What an astonishing woman.” Asiedu also noted the powerful reaction from the audience, stating, “Not only is it remarkable that she saeid this, its also remarkable that everyone stood up. I was there – it was the longest standing ovation of the day. A movement that reacts to murder with truth and forgiveness is a healthy movement.”
