Trump Doesn’t Allow Biden to Access Intelligence Info, Republican Senators Intervene

Washington DC

Oklahoma Senator, James Lankford, from the Republican Party said he would intervene if the President government United States of America (AS), Donald Trump, neither allows the President-elect of the US, Joe Biden, to access daily intelligence information for the presidency.

As reported CNN, Thursday (12/11/2020), the presidential daily intelligence information is one of the first rights of a US President-elect after winning the presidential election. It is known that until now, Biden has not received daily intelligence briefings from the Trump administration.

Lankford said in a statement that if Biden had not been able to access intelligence information by the end of this week, he would step in.

“It wouldn’t hurt that he was briefed and able to do that,” Lankford told local radio. KRMG, confirmed that he was a member of the US Senate Oversight Commission and was ready to intervene in this matter.

Furthermore, Lankford stated that if there was no progress until Friday (13/11) local time, he would intervene. “This needs to happen so that regardless of the outcome of the presidential election, whichever direction it takes, people can be ready for their real tasks,” he said.

Lankford’s statement was delivered when Biden and his senior advisers had not yet received President’s Daily Brief or top secret intelligence briefings on national security issues offered by his predecessor on a daily basis.

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) on Monday (9/11) local time stated that the lack of access to Biden was triggered by the results of the presidential election that had not been confirmed by the Public Service Administration (GSA) – a clear indication that the Biden transition team was not receiving proper guidance. just as a president-elect would normally get.

It is not clear whether the outcome of the presidential election needs to be ascertained before an elected president can receive formal intelligence briefings. Biden has previously stated that daily briefs “would be useful, but not really necessary”.
