Trump claims the judge handling his case has an aversion towards him and suggests prosecutors picked him deliberately.

NEW YORK – Former President Donald Trump has begun to criticize the judge in charge of his case, hours after his indictment was released, assuring that he “hates” him and that he has actually been chosen by prosecutors.

In the post that he has just written on his Truth Social network, Trump once again insists that he is the victim of a witch hunt, which has once again manifested itself in the election of Judge Juan Manuel Marchán, who will be the first to hear his case and read the charges to him at his appearance, foreseeably next Tuesday.

“The judge ‘assigned’ to my witch-hunt case (…) HATES ME,” he writes in capital letters, recalling once again that a former president of the country has never been charged before.

He disqualifies Marchán for several reasons: “He has been chosen by (the fiscal de Manhattan Alvin) Bragg and the prosecutors, and is the same person who framed my former CFO Allen Weisselberg to take a plea deal (and go) to prison.”

Marchán “intimidated Allen, something a judge cannot do,” Trump insists.

Allen Weisselberg was sentenced in January to five months in prison by the New York State Supreme Court, a light sentence as a result of his pact with the Prosecutor’s Office.

Those five months of imprisonment in the Rikers Island jail – known for its difficult conditions – could be reduced to only 100 days of effective compliance if Weisselberg, 75, demonstrates good conduct.

Until now, Trump has not clarified if he plans to appear on his own feet in court where the charges will be read, although a lawyer from his team, Suzan R. Nechels, assured that he will appear next Tuesday and some of his supporters, such as Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green, have announced their presence in New York to support him.

Trump’s invectives against prosecutor Alvin Bragg have been constant, calling him a “racist”, a tool of financier Georges Soros and hating America.
