  • From January 18, 2021 at midnight (French time), in application of decree n ° 2021-31 of January 15, any traveler eleven years and over to mainland France from the United States must present the result of a virological screening biological examination upon boarding.   • In the exceptional and documented cases of inability to obtain a test within the time limit and of compelling reason to travel on the planned date, you can contact the competent consulate for your residence to request a certificate of exemption, subject to prior acceptance of: i) a virological screening test allowing the detection of SARS-CoV-2 (antigen test) on arrival if the border control authority so requests; ii) isolation for 7 days in an establishment designated by the French authorities on arrival; iii) an RT-PCR test at the end of this isolation.
  • In order to limit health risks, travelers are encouraged to perform an antigen test before departure in any event, although this does not replace the RT-PCR test.
