Tribute to health workers at RLS La Pommeraie on Christmas Day

COVID-19. The police, firefighters and ambulance personnel of the MRC de Brome-Missisquoi paid tribute to the health workers of the La Pommeraie local service network this morning in Cowansville.

Vehicles from the Sûreté du Québec, Groupe Cambi and the Cowansville Fire Department left the fire station to the sound of sirens, shortly after 8:30 am, towards the city center. They then crisscrossed the South and Priincipale streets before gathering in front of the Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins hospital. to greet the staff of the establishment.

Some health care workers came to the main entrance of the hospital center to fully enjoy this tribute while others observed the scene through a window. Several of them wanted to immortalize this impromptu meeting using the camera of their cell phone.

“A similar tribute was paid to employees of the local health network last spring, during the first wave of the pandemic”, specifies paramedic Brandon Rodrigue, instigator of the meeting.
