Trevor Noah Pays Talk Show Staff On Their Unpaid Leave | NOW

Trevor Noah, currently an adapted version of his talk show The Daily Show has decided to pay the salary of the staff who are now sitting at home unintentionally. The crew members were sent on unpaid leave due to the corona crisis.

According to Variety it concerns the salary of 25 people. Noah will continue to pay them until the production of his regular show starts again.

“These people have helped Trevor put on the show from the start,” a source told the entertainment site. “He has a lot of respect for them and thinks this is all he can do to get through this together.”

In March, the recordings of The Daily Show discontinued. Instead, the talk show presenter now creates The Daily Social Distancing Show With Trevor Noah. Some writers and producers are participating in this, but audio and camera technicians are not currently needed.

In the Netherlands, the talk show can be seen via Comedy Central.
