Traveling abroad: Where can you go? (INFOGRAPHICS)

“Persons arriving in the Netherlands from the Czech Republic, not only from Prague, should be immediately quarantined for ten days. Even if they have no symptoms of COVID-19 or if they have had a negative test for covid-19, “said the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Dutch authorities then recommend that people from the Netherlands now travel to the Czech Republic only when necessary.

Germany already considers Prague and the Central Bohemian Region to be epidemiologically risky areas. Find out the travel regime at the borders of all countries of the world via interactive infographics.

“Given the epidemiological situation and the fact that the number of new cases is significantly higher in our country than in neighboring Germany, it can be assumed that this decision can actually be made tomorrow (Wednesday),” said Petříček. On Monday, he discussed the situation on the sidelines of the current Brussels meeting of foreign ministers of the European Union with his German counterpart Heik Maas.

Labeling a country as risky does not mean that Germans cannot travel to it, but the federal government as well as the individual German Länder recommend that people avoid these regions if possible. Travel from high-risk areas to Germany is also not banned, but people have to reckon with restrictions.

The government’s “traffic light” is list of “countries safe for travel” divided into three categories (low, medium and high risk of infection). The “traffic light” falls under the administration of the Ministry of Health and is regular updated according to developments in individual states.

In the event that states restrict entry into their territory, travel will be governed by the conditions of the other party. You are so for vacation planning essential, and just an overview of such conditions is provided by the interactive map below.

What about traveling in practice

Number of countries where you can travel without any problems, may therefore be smaller than indicated by a “traffic light” published by the government. This in itself does not show how strict the regime is at the borders of other countries in the world. From the point of view of travel, however, just such information is crucial.
