Travel advice re-adjusted: France completely red zone …

Foreign Affairs has adjusted the travel advice again. France will be a completely red zone for Belgian travelers, with the exception of the French island of La Réunion. As far as green areas in Europe are concerned, only the Spanish island of La Palma remains.

The Istria region in Croatia will now turn orange. The situation in Italy is also deteriorating noticeably: as more and more infections with the new coronavirus are being recorded, more and more Italian regions are turning red, now also Lombardy, Venice, Tuscany, Lazio, Abruzzo, Piedmont, Sardinia, Emilia-Romagna

With the autumn holidays approaching, things are not looking good for Belgians with travel plans. More and more regions in Europe are turning red. This means that travel is strongly discouraged by the Belgian authorities, or that local authorities prohibit Belgians from coming on holiday. Travelers coming from such a red zone must fill in a questionnaire and possibly go into quarantine for ten days on that basis. The new color codes apply immediately to departures; for returnees they start from 4 pm on Friday.

Hungary, Poland, Liechtenstein and Denmark are now also completely red. In Germany, this now also applies to the regions of Düsseldorf, Cologne, Stuttgart and Darmstadt. In Switzerland, only the cantons of Schaffhausen and Solothurn remain orange zone.
