Updated 8:45 a.m. – No more trains between Bettembourg and Luxembourg
It’s not easy to find your way around this morning when you’re from the border! While since this morning, we have been told that, finally, traffic will be by bus between Bettembourg and Luxembourg, several users testify on Twitter to the setting up of trains. Even though some are still desperately waiting for buses to get to Luxembourg.
The TER Nancy-Metz-Lux Twitter account confirms that the trains can now run.
Update 8:30 a.m. – A train breakdown (in addition to the rest)
In addition to these bus problems (see below), “a technical problem” on a train causes many delays. The TER are delayed by several minutes.
It must have been the relief. After three weeks of disrupted traffic between Bettembourg and Luxembourg, train traffic was to resume on Monday morning. With all the same a constraint: to change trains in Bettembourg for another month.
But surprise, this Monday morning, for cross-border commuters: on the descent to Bettembourg, no train… but buses!
The official Twitter account of TER Nancy-Metz-Luxembourg indicates that “sFollowing a late return of the works on line 60, the correspondence with Luxembourg will be made by replacement coaches. »
Still on Twitter, cross-border commuters who have to go to Luxembourg seem a little distraught: one testifies to the few buses available. And the CFL employee would have explained the reason to him: they would have been warned only at 6 am this morning that the trains were not able to circulate.
For the moment, no information on the rest: will there be buses this evening or will the circulation of trains be restored? The Twitter account TER Nancy-Metz-Luxembourg itself indicates:
« Linformation only fell this morning. We are still awaiting information from the Luxembourg network manager but will keep you informed of any developments as soon as possible. »
