Transport stop: the Municipality of Córdoba takes the Tamse buses to the street

The Municipality will try today to have a good debut of the emergency scheme that it managed to approve with the official votes last week in the Deliberative Council and, in principle, it would put some 35 units of Tamse on the street from dawn with the promise of expanding them to 65 with the passing of the day.

Meanwhile, the Union Tranviarios Automotor (UTA), the guild of urban transport drivers, issued a reckless warning last week and threatened to “Besiege the city” during this Monday.

It is discounted that there will be protests from tomorrow morning. This weekend, the Municipality designed a “contingency plan” that will work from 5 to 24 with the 247 conductors of the municipal company of the state society and that will cover lines A, B and C of Tamse with extensions to Villa El Libertador , Argüello and Ituzaingó respectively.

The promise for these workers to fold was that Tamse will pay the June wage debt, the May and June vouchers and advances to future increase accounts this Monday at noon; blackberries that reach between 50 and 65 thousand pesos per driver, according to municipal sources.

The instrument to achieve this commitment was an agreement signed this Sunday, between Tamse and the Association of Hierarchical Personnel of Automotive Passenger Transport (Apejetap), under which the inspectors and drivers also accept the payment of the Christmas bonus in installments. .

The UTA general secretary, Carla Esteban, in a desperate attempt to avoid the division of her union, yesterday released a video on social networks with a message to her Tamse colleagues: “They seek to divide people, fellow trolley buses, no let them put the cuckoo that we are taking you to 2017, do not divide them with the rest of your colleagues. “

Esteban noted that Tamse employees would provide the service today under threat of losing their jobs.

“The company has called them one by one to threaten them if they do not show up to work, wait for a letter to document at home,” Esteban said.

Then he pointed out that the businessman’s commitment to pay them revealed that “the money is there” and that this situation “ceased to be an economic problem and became a political decision” by Mayor Martín Llaryora for bringing the union to its knees.

Scheme

The president of Tamse, Marcelo Rodio, explained yesterday how transport will work at this stage and said that the expansion of powers of the state company is given “thanks to a mayor with the political will to invest in social transport.”

“We are going to have a contingency scheme, basically there are going to be the bus units, between 35 and 65 units to start this plan with the possibility of adding more units over the course of hours and days,” said Rodio.

In addition, he added that the scheme will work in the first days “on the basis of the three Tamse corridors of lines A, B and C” and described that “line A is going to extend to Villa El Libertador, line B to Argüello and line C to the Ituzaingó neighborhood ”.

The official was satisfied with the agreement reached with Apejetap, to which he affirmed “all the Tamse conductors have folded” and said that the debt would be covered in a staggered manner and will begin to be paid during the day on Monday.

“In the agreement we signed with Apejetap they accept this reduction of three days of work. Instead of working 24 days they go to work 21 days. Three full days are reduced and added to those three full days is the promise that the Christmas bonus will be paid in three installments, “said Rodio.

“These fees will be in August, September and October. The reduction in hours makes a 12.5 percent discount from the total salary, which is the savings that we are needing so that it can serve the transportation system, “he added.

On the other hand, Rodio promised that starting today “the payment of the total amount owed in the month of June will begin.”

According to Rodio, it would be “what was missing from the voucher of the 22nd of last month, the two agreements for 4 thousand pesos in May and June on account of future increases.”

Asked about the possible UTA protest, Rodio acknowledged that there will be security personnel accompanying the movement of the units that go out into the street.

“That the neighbor and the drivers remain calm that they will be protected,” he said. During the day yesterday, on the premises of Tamse on Calle Fragueiro at 4,500, company personnel got ready to clean the units that will circulate in the city of Córdoba after 20 days.
