Transition Season, Dozens of Children in the City of Kediri Affected by Dengue Fever

KEDIRI, KOMPAS.TV – Since the last 2 months, Gambiran Hospital, Kediri City, has continued to receive dengue fever patients. The average DHF patients treated by the hospital today are children, as well as teenagers.

From hospital data, on average every month there are 10 to 15 children infected with dengue fever. The majority of these pediatric patients were admitted to the hospital with high fever and loss of appetite.

Bad weather that occurs during the transition season, is the right time for the Aedes Aegypti mosquito to breed. So that many children in the city of Kediri are stricken with dengue fever.

In addition to implementing a healthy lifestyle, residents are also asked to be more sensitive to the early symptoms of DHF. The city government of Kediri asked parents to immediately bring their children who have high fever to the puskesmas, for early detection of dengue fever.
