The long-distance lines were affected, Deutsche Bahn said on Friday morning.
The section of road is only accessible to a limited extent. Individual trains would therefore be diverted and delayed.
Some of the stops in Hagen, Wuppertal and Solingen were dropped. Travelers should therefore definitely check their connection before driving.

Due to a defective overhead line, an S-Bahn in Düsseldorf had to be evacuated on Thursday evening. According to the fire department, it was initially unclear to what extent the damage was caused by the storm.
All around 120 travelers should have left the train, a spokesman said. As part of the operation, there was a medical emergency, which, however, was not related to the defective overhead line. The person was treated at the scene by rescue workers and then taken to a hospital.
