Interacting on social media really needs to be careful. Because, we never know the original attitude of the person we are talking to. Unfortunately, misfortune befell Naira Ashraf.
She was a student at a campus in northern Egypt, who had to die after being attacked by a man she knew through social media.
Launching from The Sunthe murder case took place just when Naira Ashraf had just gotten off the bus in front of Mansoura University when she was about to study at her campus.
A man identified as Mohammed A suddenly approached Naira and hit her in the face. Naira suddenly fell, Mother. Before he could stand up, he was immediately stabbed several times in the neck by the man.
The killing was clearly captured on CCTV around the university. Not only that, there are many people who are on the road and see this heinous act, Mother.
The people around the scene were shocked to see this. Many people immediately surrounded the perpetrator and beat him while trying to escape. The man was later arrested by the police.
But unfortunately, Naira Ashraf’s life could not be saved. He died right at the scene. Not a few also recorded and shared photos of the poor girl lying on the road on social media. Currently the police have prevented the spread of the content.
After being arrested, Mohammed A was then taken to the police station for questioning. The police stated that the heinous act was carried out because Naira Ashraf no longer wanted to interact with him, after refusing to marry him.
Middle East Eye reported that the man was determined to do so after trying several attempts to talk to him via Facebook in the past year and a half.
According to the Egyptian news site Al-Falah Al-Youm, the suspect said during that time Naira had turned ‘to be famous’ and had a large following on social media.
“He had known the student for a while and a romantic relationship had developed between them, but he started working as a model, became famous and has a large following on social media,” investigators said.
But their relationship doesn’t seem to be going well. Naira eventually blocked the man on social media, who allegedly suffered from ‘severe depression’ following the end of their relationship.
The man decides to kill Naira before ending his own life. He takes knife from his house and waits for Naira near university gate.
