Traffic is still low, the Trans-Sumatra toll road is prone to crime

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.comPresident Director of PT Hutama Karya (Persero) Budi Harto says the traffic volume or trafic on Highway Trans-Sumatra ( JTTS) is still quite low.

With this low traffic, it has the potential to invite crime. Therefore, Hutama Karya tried to alert him patrol team to oversee the activities that occur in JTTS at any time.

Currently, there are 1,845 officer on standby on JTTS with the largest number of people in traffic services, namely 990 people.

Then, 435 officers in security services, 367 officers in transaction services, and 53 officers in maintenance services.

It should be noted, the average daily traffic (LHR) of the Medan-Binjai toll road in North Sumatra has been crossed 12,621 vehicle under normal conditions.

Meanwhile, during the Transitional LHR until November, tolls along 15 kilometers, 13,208 vehicles are crossed.

Then, 12,636 vehicles passed the LHR on the Palembang-Indralaya Toll under normal conditions.

As of November, this toll road has decreased drastically, or only 5,830 vehicles have been traversed.

Then, the LHR on the Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar Toll Road recorded a number of 11,043 vehicles and during the Transitional LHR period until November it slightly increased by 11,706 vehicles.

Furthermore, the LHR in the Terbanggi Besar-Pematang Panggang-Kayu Agung Toll Road is around 6,174 vehicles in the normal period and 7,757 vehicles in the transition period.

Meanwhile, the LHR on the Pekanbaru-Dumai Toll Road and the Sigli-Banda Aceh Section 4 (Indrapuri-Blang Bintang) Toll Road, respectively, are only around 7,153 and 1,195 vehicles.
