Trade for Donnarumma? That goes against the rumours

Marc-Andre ter Stegen (29) has not had his best season after knee surgery last summer. Allegedly, FC Barcelona would give up the German national keeper under certain circumstances. There are rumors of a swap deal with Paris Saint-Germain. However, this scenario is not likely.

As reported by El Nacional, Ter Stegen could sign for PSG at the end of the season if Gianluigi Donnarumma, in turn, joins Blaugrana in the future. Allegedly, Paris FCB President Joan Laporta proposed an exchange deal.

Donnarumma is actually dissatisfied after his free transfer from AC Milan to PSG last summer, he has to give way to veteran Keylor Navas (35, contract until 2024) more often than he would like.

However, it is unlikely that Barça ter Stegen will want to swap for Donnarumma, who is seven years his junior. On the one hand, El Nacional is sometimes very imaginative, and Barça coach Xavi Hernandez appreciates ter Stegen very much.

Donnarumma (22), on the other hand, has shown excellent reflexes, good positional play and, thanks to his height (1.96 m), a strong presence in the penalty area since his breakthrough as a 16-year-old at AC Milan, but he still has room for improvement when it comes to passing accuracy.
