Track package and software make Tesla Model 3 sportier> teslamag, de

If the Tesla Model 3 Performance with its standard track mode is not yet sporty enough, the electric car (for the time being apparently only in the USA) can now be upgraded even further: Tesla recently started offering a new “Track Package” with better rims, Tires, brake pads. On the other hand, buyers of the racing package can get a revised version of the track mode via radio update, which offers additional setting options, according to the Teslarati blog.

Selected Tesla owners and YouTubers already had the opportunity to try out the new hardware and software in a Model 3 on a racetrack in February, reports Teslarati. According to the operator of the Salamondrin channel, the new track mode is a “huge improvement” compared to the normal version. Among other things, the handling balance, the intervention threshold of the stability assistant and the recuperation can be set individually.

Ben Schaeffer, CEO of the Tesla tuning company Unplugged Performance, was also pleased with the new offer. “When racing with any Tesla, the software is very closely related to the driving experience,” he said. Without question, the new track mode will enable better lap times and more fun for the drivers. However, Tesla has not yet given an appointment for the release of the V2 software.

Europe still has to wait

When the time comes, it should be made available to buyers of the track package by radio update free of charge. The new racing hardware for the Model 3 Performance, on the other hand, is already available in Tesla’s US shop. It consists of “Zero G” rims in 20 inch format, Michelin sports tires, new brake pads and brake fluid as well as accessories. The price is $ 5500.

However, none of this can be seen on the German-speaking Tesla website. As a spokesman said on request, there is currently no information on whether and when the racing package will also be available in Europe.
