GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Towson University football team continues its road schedule this Saturday, November 30th, with a matchup against North Carolina A&T at Truist Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. ET.
This contest marks the second meeting between the two programs, with Towson securing a 35-33 victory over the Aggies last season in Towson. The Tigers (6-5) are looking to finish the regular season strong, while North Carolina A&T (5-6) aims to bolster its record before the conclusion of the season.
Several Tigers are poised to make their mark in the Towson record books. Punter Bryce LaFollette is averaging 43.4 yards per punt over his two seasons, a figure that would be the highest two-year average in program history, surpassing shane McDonough’s 42.9 yards (2019, 2021). Sean Landeta holds the four-year record with 42 yards per punt from 1979-82.
Offensively, wide receivers John Dunmore and Jaceon Doss have combined for nine receiving touchdowns, with Dunmore recording five and Doss contributing four. Dunmore’s five touchdowns tie for the most by a Tiger in a single season since 2019, when Shane Leatherbury had 12. Towson’s 14 receiving touchdowns are one shy of the program’s total from 2019 (22).
the Tigers recently reclaimed The Battle for Greater Baltimore trophy with a 27-22 victory over Morgan state on September 6th, extending their winning streak against the Bears to eight games. John Dunmore’s game-winning touchdown catch with 24 seconds remaining sealed the win.
Towson Athletics recently mourned the loss of Carl Runk, the program’s first head football coach, who passed away on November 24th at the age of 88. Runk coached the Tigers from 1969-71 and also led the men’s lacrosse team to a 1974 DII national championship during his tenure from 1968-98.
Looking ahead, CAA Football will experience changes following the 2025 season with the departure of Villanova and William & mary to the Patriot League. Sacred Heart will join the conference in 2026.
