Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Manparekraf) Sandiaga Uno answered the possibility of becoming Anies Baswedan or Ganjar Pranowo’s vice presidential candidate. Sandiaga talked about sustainable development.
“I’ve partnered with Pak Prabowo and once partnered with Pak Anies, that in the contest it’s thoughts, ideas that we will develop in the future,” Sandiaga told reporters, as reported by detikJatengSunday (4/6/2023).
“I see that in building our nation in the future we must accelerate development,” he continued.
Sandiaga assessed that the vision of the coalition for changing Anies Baswedan and the presidential candidate was not right. Sandiaga said that the majority of people were satisfied with the direction of development under President Jokowi.
So if you want to change the direction of development, Sandiaga feels he doesn’t have the same thoughts yet.
“But if we change, let alone change the big map and the direction of our development, this may not get the same thoughts as mine,” said Sandiaga.
Meanwhile, when asked if he would receive an offer to become Ganjar’s vice presidential candidate, Sandiaga felt honored. However, this is in the hands of the political parties.
Sandiaga said there had been no specific communication with Ganjar. He said that after the announcement of the Ganjar presidential candidate, he had only met the PDIP presidential candidate once.
“Several times I have gotten closer to the regional secretary (Secretary of Central Java) because of several activities that have helped the regional secretary. But in the next two months, hopefully there will be an opportunity because since the announcement of the presidential candidates, we have only met once in Semarang,” said Sandiaga.
