Tour operators began to cancel July tours abroad

Due to the uncertainty with the dates of lifting restrictions, tour operators will cancel tours abroad with departures in July, according to website Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR). They “do not have high hopes” for the resumption of international tourism.

The intention to cancel the tours has already been announced by ANEX Tour, PEGAS Touristik, TEZ Tour, Coral Travel and Intourist. Not all tours have been canceled yet. For example, Intourist is currently canceling foreign tours with departure dates until July 16.

Recall that Russia stopped regular and charter communication with other countries on March 27 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Ministry of Transport hopes to resume international flights in July. In June, Russians were allowed to travel abroad to work, study, treat, or to care for relatives. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin urged the Russians to refrain from traveling on vacations abroad and spend their holidays in Russia.
