Tottenham-Fulham match postponed 3 hours ahead of corona kickoff

(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Ahn Hong-seok = Tottenham Hotspur, the team of Son Heung-min (28), and Fulham’s England Professional Football Premier League (EPL) match were postponed three hours before the kickoff.

The British Broadcasting BBC reported that the match between Tottenham and Fulham in the 2020-2021 Premier League round 16 was postponed due to a novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19).

The match was scheduled to be held at 3 am on the 31st at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England.

Reportedly, Fulham requested a postponement from the EPL secretariat, and after discussions, the decision was made three hours before the start of the match.

In a statement, Tottenham made a statement, “All members of Tottenham wish Fulham safety and quick recovery.”

Earlier, in the 17th Corona 19 diagnostic test conducted by EPL on the 21st to 27th of the previous club’s players and employees, 18 confirmed cases, the highest this season, occurred, some of which belonged to Fulham.

Round 16 of Manchester City and Everton, where many confirmed cases were found in this test, could not be played. The match was scheduled to take place on the 28th, and a postponement was decided 4 hours before kickoff.
