(CercleFinance.com) – TotalEnergies announces the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Sempra Infrastructure, Mitsui & Co. and Japan LNG Investment for the extension of Cameron LNG, a liquefied natural gas production and export terminal ( LNG) located in Louisiana, USA.
This extension project concerns the construction of a fourth train with a maximum production capacity of 6.75 million tonnes of LNG per year (Mtpy) and the increase by 5% of the capacity of 13.5 Mtpy of first three trains by debottlenecking.
Cameron LNG has awarded two engineering study contracts (FEED) relating to this expansion with a view to the future selection of the company in charge of the execution contract (EPC) of the project.
