“In Bucharest we have a vaccination coverage rate in the eligible population over 16 years of age of the resident population of about 45%, more precisely 44.9%, which we consider to be a very good vaccination coverage rate. It is well above the national average. Probably in Bucharest the rate of group immunity, cumulated between vaccination and passing through the disease, is over 50%, which explains the favorable epidemiological situation. Also, in Cluj the vaccination coverage rate of the eligible population is 41.43%, in Sibiu 35.15%, Brașov 33.13%, Timiș – 31.66%, and Constanta 31.75%. He states that the report refers to the eligible population over 16 years of age, and from next week will also include the eligible population over 12 years of age.
“The last counties with the lowest vaccination coverage rate are Covasna, with 18.1%, Bacau – 17.3%, Giurgiu – 16.6%, Botosani – 16.6% and Suceava – 15.7%”, he concludes head of CNCAV.
