With his mega contract, Jokic takes over the record from Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Milwaukee Bucks star signed a five-year contract worth about 228 million dollars (218 million euros) a year and a half ago. Bradley Beal also broke that record almost simultaneously with Jokic. He signed a five-year contract with Washington Wizards worth $251 million.
Jokic’s current contract with the Nuggets expires next year. The 2.11 meter tall Serb said immediately after the elimination by the Warriors that he would like to stay with the Nuggets.
