Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 Review – Conclusion

I used to play it on the PC with a gamepad and was pretty good at it back then. In the meantime I am a bit older and although I recognize a lot it is all a bit less smooth. Read: I go on my record a lot

That’s (of course) because I’ve gotten a bit older, but also because it really plays faster, namely 60fps on the PS4. The original I read was 30fps and that is quite a difference.

After THPS3 I lost sight of the series and never really interested in the other skateboard games. I bought this remake anyway (two bucks per game I think is quite acceptable) and despite the fact that I don’t do anything about it, I still / again really enjoy it. Levels are recognizable but graphically completely contemporary, the music is back and many more challenges and extra things have been added to keep you busy. And you can also turn on mods, but I don’t want to start with that just yet.

It is also worth mentioning (not mentioned here in the review) that there is split screen couch-coop in the game.
