One month after the death of Gigi Proietti, Rai 1 pays tribute to the great actor, Wednesday 2 December at 21.25, with Gigi, what a show, a smiling and nostalgic celebration in which some traveling companions of his long and amazing career in the entertainment world honor him with a series of testimonies and unpublished stories. Many friends who wanted to leave a testimony of their memories and unforgettable moments lived with Gigi Proietti: Renzo Arbore, Fiorello, Renato Zero, Paolo Bonolis, Neri Marcorè, Corrado Augias, Flavio Insinna, Pierfrancesco Favino, Marco Giallini, Nicola Piovani, Nancy Brilli, Virginia Raffaele… Their story is alternated with some of the most beautiful moments of shows also unpublished, of the last two TV shows they’ve had Gigi Proietti as main protagonist: Battle horses – aired in 2017 by the Verdi Theater in Montecatini – e Matera 2019, the ceremony-event of the Lucanian city as the European Capital of Culture. In some moments of the program will be the scenario Globe Theatre of Villa Borghese in Rome, the “creature” to which Gigi Proietti was very attached, the place where as Artistic Director for the last 17 years he proposed, in an extraordinarily contemporary cultural key, tragedies and comedies of the Elizabethan period, many linked to the masterpieces of William Shakespeare.
