“In a plenary meeting chaired by Chairperson Tommy Soeharto, he decided to submit a letter of clarification to the Minister of Law and Human Rights regarding all of this,” said Secretary General of the Tommy Soeharto’s camp, Priyo Budi Santoso in a written statement to SINDOnews, Thursday (6/8/2020).

Previously, Muchdi’s camp claimed to have pocketed a decree (SK) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights regarding the composition of the Management of the Working Party with its general chairman, Muchdi PR. According to him, if it was true that Muchdi PR’s side had a decree from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, that would be a disgrace to democracy in the Jokowi-Ma’ruf Amin government.
“If the decree is true, then we have the right to receive fair treatment. We have the right to make a state administrative and criminal lawsuit against related parties,” said Priyo.
Tommy Soeharto, continued Priyo, appealed to all Management, members and sympathizers of the Working Party as well as Pak Harto’s admirers, to remain calm. “The message of our Chairperson will continue to respond calmly and mature to face all of this,” he said.
Priyo questioned the basis of Kemenkumham to endorse Muchdi PR’s Management. Because the Extraordinary National Conference (Munaslub) held by the Muchdi PR camp was illegal, illegal and violated various party rules. In accordance with the party’s statutes and bylaws, the munaslub requires the approval of 2/3 DPW and DPD throughout Indonesia.
“In fact, 32 Provincial DPWs all gave mandate letters to remain loyal to the leadership of Pak Tommy Soeharto. Likewise the Regency / City DPD is mostly loyal to HMP, not to Pak Muchdi or Pak Picunang,” said the former deputy speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives.
