The first round of the open Czech motocross championships on the former World Cup track in Dalečín was top-class with some top riders from the World Cup and European Championship. The KTM– Factory team moved in with Tom Vialle and René Hofer on. With Jago Geerts (Yamaha) another title aspirant had announced.
The German GasGas-Factory driver Simon Längenfelder burned the 1:45:11 second fastest Lap time behind Tom Vialle (1:44:78) into the ground and showed in the morning that he has the speed of the top.
MX2-WM-Leader Tom Vialle took the lead in the first run from the start. Jago Geerts had a bad start and had to work its way forward. When he reached rank 2 was Vialle already out of reach.
Started in the second run Geerts better and was behind Vialle in the Tracker position. 3 laps before the end, however, the Belgian failed with a technical defect. Simon Längenfelder came third Vialle and Hofer finished and was on the Daily podium!
For the Belgian Liam Everts the race was also his debut against MX2-World class driver. With 12th place in the second run he finished the day in 17th place.
